INTRODUCING THE COVE JOGGERSCove Joggers were formed back in 1985 and meet regularly at 9.00am on a Sunday morning at Oak Farm School in Mayfield Road, Cove.A typical Sunday run would be between 5-10 miles, sometimes more for those training for a marathon. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club with the view that running is there to be enjoyed by all, whether you run at six or ten minute miles. We are always on the lookout for new members and beginners are most welcome. If you would like to give us a try please feel free to come along on
a sunday morning and after an initial run (or even a run/walk for first
timers) we finish off with a chat and a cup of tea. Showers are available.
There will be no pressure for you to join the club on your first visit,
as we suggest you come along a few times before you make your decision.
Membership fees are as follows: There is no joining fee, and the annual fee is £10.00 for those
who wish to compete in races (this is to cover the cost of the club registering
you with England Athletics) or £5 for non-racing members. There
is also a weekly sub of £1 to be paid on the Sundays that members
attend the club. (This helps cover the cost for the hire of the classroom
and the refreshments). We hope you decide to give us a try.
